St Mary's House invites people to 'come as they are' with their joys and pains, with their fears, hopes and dreams. This spirit reflects the life commitment of Catherine McAuley whose deepest desire was for every person to experience Mercy - that is, the tender, loving kindness of God. This is why she began the Sisters of Mercy in Ireland in 1831.
